Full moon women’s circle

Sisterhood with a bond of trust, faith and care

It is a thousand-year-old tradition observed in every culture. Women used to sit in circles with their sisters and friends, gathering under the moonlight to share stories, openly talk about their feelings, grievances, and dreams. The circle was a sacred space, without judgment, a bond of trust where they released emotions and feelings that no longer served them.

They supported and healed each other, letting go of emotions and feelings that weighed them down. Many circles honor the presence of men too. Each circle has a theme based on the cycle we are in. Even if you don’t express, just being a safe vessel for other women is as powerful as it can be. In the modern world, where we are often pitted against each other, supporting fellow women and providing a safe space for them to grow is the most magical thing to witness.

I attended my first moon circle in 2019, and it changed my inner landscape forever. The most memorable one was an impromptu circle I held at a yoga retreat, with 25 women in the wilderness, ending with howling that echoed through the valleys. It was the most empowering experience for me to consciously listen with an open heart.
